We took the decision in recent years to send the Synod papers out with a short lead-time – eliminating the need for further papers to be printed for the day of Synod, and to reduce the possibility of papers being mislaid by being sent out too soon. We currently aim to send the papers out 2 weeks in advance of each Synod, with the exception of the Presbyteral Synod papers which are sent with the Chair’s Christmas message to ministers.

With increasing concerns for working sustainably, ecologically and effectively we would like to explore working towards reducing our paper output and having resources easily accessible online (subject to the relevant data protection regulations). I understand many circuits now only publish online already and so the District would therefore be very grateful if you could complete and submit* this short consultation document in order to better inform the planning of future Synods.
Please note that the ‘short form’ District Directory (as per 2018) will continue to be produced as a hard copy.
